What is included?

These allowances cover labour, standard materials, routine preparation and normal setup for the selected work.

Scaffolding, edge protection, specialist access, major repairs, lead or asbestos work, wallpaper removal, window sashes and glazing, travel outside normal local work, and urgent or after-hours work are excluded. Specialist coating systems need a separate assessment.

Skim coating covers sound, already-stopped surfaces and excludes sealer and paint. Deck and fence allowances cover straightforward recoating rather than stripping or rebuilding. Roof allowances exclude chip-coated or unidentified roofs.

Planning rates below are NZD excluding GST. The result adds 15% GST. Moderate preparation increases the lower allowance by 15% and the upper allowance by 30%.

Minimum allowances apply separately to each selected service: roof $2,500; interior $750; exterior $1,200; skim coating $650; deck $650; fence $600, excluding GST. These are calculator allowances, not minimum quoted prices or fixed offers.
